Alex Radus is a singer/songwriter based in Philadelphia, PA. One memorable night, at a Dan Wythoff gig, myself, Andrew, and good friend Todd Pritchard had the privilege of witnessing a really cool and original performance by Alex at the Bus Stop Music Cafe in Pitman, NJ. It's always refreshing to see a guy stand up there, all alone, and still keep your attention.

Alex employs a unique form of slap guitar that I've personally never seen done to any great length - He manages to outline full, whole chords with one slam of hands and does it with incredible rhythmic accuracy. His musical style ranges from folk to old school jazz, covering classics anywhere from Chet Baker to the childhood sing along "You Are My Sunshine" and does it all with a maturity only seen in truly talented, musical folk. His original songs are also indicative of his musical prowess and maturity. Alex's songs include a wide array of clever chords strung together by even more intelligent lyricism. From political to spiritual, Alex can bring to light a truth or a whim, and it's this lyrical integrity that helps support his instrumental styling.

We hope you thoroughly enjoy Season 1: Episode 1 of the Praise For Wallflower Video Interview Series which can be viewed directly below this - there you can find a glimpse of Mr. Radus at RokBox Studios, doing work on his upcoming album, as well as an exclusive performance that will better describe Alex's unique and soulful playing and singing. Alex was our "test subject" so we do hope you excuse the very budgeted nature of the film, but enjoy it all the same.

    THE SKINNY:
Alex Radus will appeal to those who can appreciate a smart and unique take on both guitar and vocal lyricism.

Love Me Like You Hate Me (2007), Mad Faith (2000)
