Even in the age of computer-music, you still don't come across too many groups not using guitars. It's a Musical breaks that mold, however, and actually prides themselves in it. The group (ironically, based upon their name) consists of a boy and girl out of Berlin, Germany. Their instrumentation is drums and keys, respectively, and they both seem to share an equal amount of responsibility when it comes to vocals. They come from the morr music label (a la past PFW features Radical Face and Electric President). Therefore, they're incredibly original and well-produced. Their debut album, The Music Makes Me Sick, is a pleasure to listen to from start to finish. You would assume drums and keyboards to be very simple, dull, dry, etc - but the layering of different keyboard synths, bells, vibes, and occasional brass combined with very upbeat, rhythmic drumming makes it an incredibly sonorous and well-produced record - a far cry from the majority of indie pop groups around today.
