Electric President - the two-man collaborative project of Ben Cooper and Alex Kane - is a group that far too little people know about. The best way to describe this morr records group is with one word: creative. Influenced by artists such as Styrofoam and the Postal Service, they fuse what they refer to as "song-oriented pop" with an eclectic mix of folk and electronica. Not only have they been recording everything out of tools sheds and bedrooms for the last seven years - but they do it incredibly well, managing to produce some very interesting, unique, and comforting mixes. They managed to reach some small-time fame several years back when their track "Insomnia" (from their first, self-titled record) was featured on "The OC" (listen below):



There most recent album, "Sleep Well," is a collection of songs based on nightmares that lead singer, Ben Cooper, has experienced over the years. And speaking of Ben Cooper, he also has a side-project (branch) of Electric President called radical face, which is still in the works but already has some very intriguing songs posted up. He has also been doing a lot of experimentation with videos for Electric President lately. Below is one of these videos - a VERY interesting live performance of them recording in Ben's shed:
