    Person L

THE SKINNY: Person L serves as the creative, unrestricted outlet of The Starting Line's Kenny Vasoli.

Many of you are probably familiar with the group The Starting Line. They were (and still are, just on hiatus) a pop-punk powerhouse out of Philadelphia that saw glimpses of fame with handfuls of catchy singles (the most recent of which being their latest album "Direction" and the large amount of radio-play that it received). During their last tour, however, frontman Kenny Vasoli had begun to feel limited in regards to how much creativity he could put forth through a pop-punk group. Thus, Person L was born.

    "Storms" off of Initial

Their latest (and very first) release, Initial features a nice variety of tracks, straying pretty far from the pop-punk from time to time. The first single released on their myspace page over a year ago, "Storms," is quite possibly the only track on the entire album that sounds remotely similar to a Starting Line song. Other tracks on the album range from slow and ambient to very powerful and aggressive. If any of you have ever wanted to hear Kenny Vasoli scream (outside of the confines of pop-punk music) your time has come. Posted below is the aforementioned single, "Storms," and a live video of my personal favorite song by Person L, "Wooden Soldiers." They seem to be able to put on a very entertaining and powerful live show.

PS - The drummer for Person L happens to be Brian Medlin (of Ghost Away) who has been featured on PFW a number of times already.
