Today's post is on an arist that's seen publicity on Brian Williams' "Inside the Obama White House." Oren Lavie is best known for his song entitled "Her Morning Elegance," a track characterized by a jumpy triplet backbeat and pretty rhodes-esque diddy that backs up Oren's rather deep, though pop friendly, voice.
Without getting into much detail about his most recent, though 2-year-old record "The Opposite Side Of The Sea," each track is totally different from the last. The album's title track is backed entirely by a real string quartet, and it's nothing short of beautiful.
I encourage you to take the time to further explore a songwriter that's clearly inspired by unconventional and unique sources.
