Negative Progression Records is home to one of my favorite bands, ever, ever: Aberdien. Unfortunately, Aberdien have sort of fallen off the face of the earth - last I heard, they dropped a member and started working on a new record and sound - that was two years ago.
When browsing NP Records' Artists this past week, one band in particular caught my ear. The Subtle Way are based in Fremont, California and have some pretty nice recordings up for streaming on their MySpace. They're set to cut some tracks in Seattle this July, so I'm looking forward to hearing the progression as compared to what the band is currently sporting - the current roster of songs is pretty cool but certainly not ground breaking.
THE SKINNY: The Subtle Way are a band from California on Negative Progression Records - they have an approachable, likeable sound and some good songs, so I'm looking forward to them breaching the mold and creating something unique.
