Kristian Matsson, of Dalarna, Sweden, seems to think he is the tallest man on Earth. To reinforce this claim, he nicknamed himself, The Tallest Man on Earth, signed to Gravitation Records, and started writing folk music. The Tallest Man on Earth's music is heavily influenced by Bob Dylan's guitar style as well as his folksy, out of key singing, and raspy wailing. His strongest characteristic is his quick finger picking technique, which is similar to Dylan's, but livelier (Pistol Dreams). Matsson's singing style replicates Dylan, as well as puts his own youthful vigor and strength behind the vocals to make it more aesthetically pleasing (A Field of Birds). Lyrically, Matsson, like Dylan, often uses imagery and metaphors to tell a meaningful story or situation - which makes for very interesting and sentimental songs. The Tallest Man on Earth Currently has two CDs out, The Tallest Man on Earth EP and the full length album released March 2008, Shallow Grave.
