    About the Authors...

Keenan: Keenan Gaynor is a native of South Plainfield, New Jersey who has been playing the drums for nearly 13 years. For the past 5 of those years, however, he has been much more involved with recording, production, and electronic music - mainly through the projects Declans Well and Mack Flinn & the Whosis Kid. He currently resides in South Plainfield, having just completed his final year of pursuing a bachelors degree in Music Technology from New York University.

Joey: Raised in quiet South Plainfield, NJ, Joseph Stasio grew up surrounded by a family of practicing musicians and artists.  Throughout his teenage years, Joe taught himself to play drums, bass, guitar, and to compose, arrange, and record his own music.  He currently works under the name Gaezzetti since his previous group effort, Wesley has been put on pause.  Joseph is a full time student, studying Management Information Systems at Rowan University in Southern New Jersey, where he spends much time teaching himself the arts of Graphic and Audio Engineering.

Andrew: Andrew Roibal, as many of the other members on the PFW team, grew up in South Plainfield. He has always had an interest in music in one form or another; whether it was building up his personal collection of compact discs, playing guitar with childhood friends in a basement during their middle school years, or attempting to write an extravagant rock opera with other PFW member Joe Stasio. He is currently attending Rowan University and working towards his bachelors in mathematics. On the side he likes to keep busy by playing bass for Dan Wythoff, honing his carpentry skills, biking, and building model rockets.

Alyssa: Alyssa Roibal grew up in South Plainfield, NJ with her older brother and PFW member Andrew Roibal. She has always shown an interest in the arts, probably from the influence of her father, who has taken her to the MET more times than she can count. Her interest in journalism was unexpected when she decided on a whim to sign up for a class her junior year of high school. To her surprise, she really enjoyed it and after one year became an editorial and entertainment editor. She currently attends Rutgers University where she has not yet declared a major.

Chelsea: Chelsea’s love and passion for music comes from growing up in a household where listening to and playing music was a part of everyday life. Unlike the rest of her family, Chelsea lacked any musical talent, but still decided that her love for music would become crucial to her career ambitions. Chelsea’s interest in journalism developed during her time at college on the William Paterson University newspaper where she served as Entertainment Editor her senior year. Chelsea graduated in 2008 with a B.A. in Communication concentrating in Journalism and Public Relations. She currently works at a company in New Jersey creating compilation CDs.

Chris: Chris Grzan has called South Plainfield, NJ, home for the greater part of his life. He grew up with little musical influence by those who surrounded him, but somehow managed to develop an affinity for music right before he attended St. Joseph High School. He has carried that adoration with him since that time and it has been exhibited through a multitude of bands and projects. Chris has been playing guitar for 11 years and he spent seven of those years receiving instruction from Bernie Brausewetter. After playing in bands such as Dehaviland, Chasers, and Wesley through high school and his first two years of college, Chris began to search for a form of music that would better express his ideas. That search ended with Mack Flinn & The Whosis Kid; a two-piece (pseudo three-piece) band with a pair of albums under its belt. Chris is currently attending the Ohio State University. He studies journalism and works for Scarlet & Gray Sports Radio, where he participates in live broadcasts for Ohio State football and hockey.

Though Nicole grew up in Sugar Land, Texas, she now calls Chicago home. Her fascination with music started at an early age when her father introduced her to artists like Eric Clapton and Tom Petty on the drive to preschool every morning. Since then, she has loved to listen to and analyze any and all music she can find. Nicole is currently studying theater and directing at DePaul University's Theater School. Outside of school, she enjoys going to shows, writing, traveling, and exploring.

Scotches (Joseph Zanko III) did not grow up in South Plainfield, but his current activities there make this revelation rather irrelevant. He spent a great deal of the summers of 2007 and 2008 in the Gaynor residence and as a result had the pleasure of watching PFW grow from its humble beginnings to what it is now. Scotches' musical tastes emerged from time spent listening to old country and new traditional and folk with his parents and growing to realize that what he mistook to be annoyance was really an ever-growing affection for the genres. Needless to say, he is excited to bring his favorite folk, newgrass, and trad. musicians to the attention of his friends and peers. He is a recent graduate of Fordham University, avid sabreur, and current member of the band Mack Flinn & The Whosis Kid.
